Vein Therapy / Ultrasound Training Workshop
Training Workshop
Overview:
The treatment of lower extremity venous disease
is rapidly evolving into an ultrasound dependent entity that is creating a unique challenge. The
age of ligation and stripping of veins with significant patient “down-time” is giving way to
minimally invasive in-office and intra-operative ultrasound guided procedures. These procedures require
the expansion of ultrasound expertise from routine diagnostics to intricate insufficiency examinations and procedures with
unique scanning nuances. If you are involved in the ultrasound evaluation OR treatment of superficial
and perforating veins for incompetence or to assist in ultrasound guided vein procedures, this training workshop is for you!
Advanced Ultrasound Consultants developed this unique intensive training
workshop to educate and enlighten Sonographers/Technologists, Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners,
Nurses, and other professionals participating in current-trend vein therapy treatment and ultrasound scanning.
*There are many companies and individuals that offer "Venous insufficiency/Phlebology training"....
BEFORE DECIDING ON AN (ON-SITE) PHLEBOLOGY TRAINING PROGRAM FOR YOUR NEEDS,
ASK THESE IMPORTANT QUESTIONS!
Is
the trainer CURRENTLY working/performing phlebology ultrasound on a daily basis? If so, how often?
How often does the trainer scan "real" patients for venous insufficiency and assist in formulating
their treatment plan of care?
How long has the trainer been
ACTIVELY involved in phlebology ultrasound and its treatment modalities? Not just "teaching it", but in the
"trenches"!
Does the trainer JUST focus on phlebology
ultrasound or is it one of "many" things they offer?
Is
the trainer ACTIVELY assisting in scanning, and ablation (EVLT/RFA) cases on a daily basis?
How many ablation cases has the trainer assisted in?
Is
the trainer ACTIVE in the phlebology "community", ie: Member of the ACP(American College of Phlebology), etc?
Is the Trainer board credentialed in phlebology Ultrasound; RPhS (Registered Phlebology Sonographer)?
Is the trainer proficient in scanning for and treating incompetent perforators?
Is the trainer extensively experienced in the inner workings of a dedicated phlebology practice (equipment,
disposables) and ultrasound lab (protocols, policies and procedures, etc)
Does the trainer have knowledge of both EVLT and Radiofrequency options? Sclerotherapy?
